Although undated, the poster is probably from the late 1960s, issued to commemorate the defeat of the Chinese leader Chiang Kai-shek during the Chinese Civil War, rather than a contemporary poster from the 1940s urging victory for Mao Zedong (depicted here with a cigarette in hand) and the Chinese Communist Party.
