Original political poster, Chairman Mao is the red sun in our hearts, 1966. The poster was published by the Central News and Documentary Film Studio to publicise a new film marking the 17th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The design depicts Chairman Mao as the centre of the sun, with a wide variety of Chinese citizens in the foreground holding aloft their copies of Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung (known as ‘The Little Red Book’ in the West).
