An unusual propaganda poster, printed in both Russian and Chinese, commemorating the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi forces at Stalingrad in 1943. Posters like this one, celebrating the shared endeavour of international communist armies, were printed in China throughout the 1960s. However, later dissatisfaction with the direction of the USSR under Khrushchev eventually led the Chinese leadership to distance itself from ‘Soviet revisionism’.
