A significant, original, Hayward Gallery Pop Art exhibition poster by the American sculptor Claes Oldenburg. The image is inscribed “proposal for a sculpture in the form of a Giant Lipstick, Hayward Gallery, 1969. CO”. The design recalls Oldenburg’s contemporary sculpture Lipstick (Ascending) on Caterpillar Tracks, which was originally displayed in Beinecke Plaza at Yale University.
