Now there's a new wider choice at Station Buffets. Travellers Fare
British RailOriginal British Rail Travellers-Fare poster from 1979, issued after the appointment of the restaurateur and caterer Prue Leith to the British Railways Board to improve the company’s catering offer. Previously, Travellers-Fare had a mixed reputation for quality and was reprimanded by the Central Transport Consultative Committee in 1977. This poster was part of a campaign to launch a much-improved service which also saw the introduction of the Gold Star Menu for businessmen on InterCity services in 1978.
