Solidarność (signed)
Peter KennardAn original poster designed by Peter Kennard for the Polish pro-democracy movement Solidarność (Solidarity). Kennard was asked to create a couple of posters by the Polish Solidarity Campaign for distribution in Europe, following the imposition of martial law by the Polish government in December 1981. For this design, Kennard took the Solidarność logo created by Jerzy Janiszewski and imprisoned it within barbed wire to represent the political suppression of the movement. A famous design, hand signed by the artist.
