A rare and desirable, original poster, for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1967 featuring an original artwork by William Roberts RA (1895 – 1980) with layout design by Gordon House. Roberts was a leading British painter and artistic pioneer, sometimes referred to as ‘the English Cubist’. This design was especially created for the Summer Exhibition of 1967 and depicts painting and sculpture on equal terms. In our opinion, the best of all the posters produced for the show in the post war period.
