An original exhibition poster, Bridget Riley Hayward Gallery, 1971. The poster features Riley’s screen-print Firebird (1971) and is the same size as the original numbered edition screen-print of 75 and was allegedly made from the same screens.

The exhibition at the Hayward was Riley’s first large scale UK exhibition. She was also the first contemporary painter to have a full-scale retrospective at the Hayward Gallery.

A very rare and impressive poster. [I actually have another copy, acquired many years ago, in my personal collection, and regard this as one of the greatest UK exhibition posters].
