This poster was issued by the British government to encourage serving soldiers to vote in the forthcoming 1945 General Election. The design features a hand holding a yellow pencil, with the wrist and the end of the pencil forming a silhouette of Parliament. Text at the base reads: It is your right and duty as a responsible citizen of a great democracy to get onto the Electoral Register so as to be able to record your vote at the next election. You are doing your share as a soldier - play your part as a citizen. Fill in A.F.B. 2626 which gets you onto the Register.
