An original political poster, Human Rights Week, by the renowned American graphic designer Saul Bass, 1965. Best known for his famous film poster designs (including The Shining, The Man with the Golden Arm, Vertigo and Anatomy of a Murder), Bass was commissioned by the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO to create an artwork promoting Human Rights Week, an annual celebration and awareness raiser of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The resulting design depicts a burst of flames above selected articles from the Declaration. The poster featured prominently in the 2011 publication Saul Bass, A Life in Film and Design.
