An original exhibition poster, No Nuclear Weapons, held at the Half Moon Photography Workshop, Bethnal Green, 1980. The design features Haywain with Cruise Missiles, the hugely influential photo-montage protest poster by Peter Kennard. The insertion of modern weapons in Old Masters for political effect (in this case to subvert the rural idyll of John Constable’s The Hay Wain, 1821), has been much imitated in recent years.
