The photograph, which is in excellent condition and with far greater ‘depth’ of image than shown in this digital version, depicts the Reading Down freight train on Wellington Bank, hauled by locomotive No. 2826. The reverse has a handwritten inscription relating to ‘HJ Ashman ARPS’ (?) with details of the print.
